Halloween Happenings!

We’ve given you the lowdown on the Library events going on this Halloween, here are a few other things happening in and around town that you will definitely want to check out. Some we have talked about already, but they will now be listed on our sidebar for reference and we will add to them when we get the skinny on any other Hap’s in the Ham this Halloween.

Every Friday and Saturday until Halloween, 5pm to 9pm

Pottery Barn Kids – Spooky Storytime and Sing Along

Tuesday October 27th – 11am – 11:30am
A spooky twist to their weekly storytime

Friday October 30th – 2 Showtimes! 10am and 11am

Sing, Dance and Play at a very special Halloween – themed Sing Along concert!
Costumes encouraged!

Wednesday, October 28th – 6pm, Free to the Public. St Lukes parking lot.

Dawson Memorial Baptist Church – Family Fall Festival

Friday October 30th – 6pm – 9pm – Recreation Center
The fall tradition you’ve been waiting for is almost here. Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to the Fall Festival held in the Family Recreation Center and North Building parking lot.
There will be food, games, prizes, candy, rides, and tons of fun for the whole family!

Veterans Park, Hoover
– Hayride and Family Night

Friday October 30th 6pm – 9pm

Hayrides, Free Hotdogs, movies and treats – Don’t forget to wear your costume

Whole Foods – Friday October 30th – Trick or Treating – All Day

Trick or Treat through each department. Pick up a bag at Customer Service and don’t forget your costume, it’s required.

Make a morning of it and get there at 10am for a Spooky Storytime with Miss Emma

Bass Pro Shop – Halloween, Bass Pro Style – Two weekends full of spooky fun.

Friday – October 30th – 4pm – 7pm

  • Trick or Treat throughout the store ** while supplies last
  • Kids Costume Parade – 6pm

Saturday – October 31st – Noon to 4pm

  • Mask Decorating
  • Roast Marshmallows
  • Sample Dutch Oven Apple Cobbler

Toys R Us – Fun with Geoffrey.

Saturday October 31st – Noon – 3pm

Costume parade throughout the store, lead by none other than Geoffrey the Giraffe. Trick or Treating and prizes for the little ones.

Publix Shopping Centers – Free Fun in each Department

Take your little Monsters (or Ghosts and Goblins) into Publix for some trick or treating fun.
October 31st – 4pm – 7pm

  • Decorate cookies
  • Get Free Ice Cream
  • Play Go Fish

Treat Bags available at the door!

Tannehill State Park – 18th Annual Halloween Celebration

Halloween Fairyland October 31st – 11am – 3pm
This fun-filled affair includes pony and train rides, magicians, games and activities for children.

Homewood Fall Festival

This annual fall festival includes inflatables, costume contests & much more.
Thursday, October 29 6-9 pm
Costume contest at 7:30 pm
