Spooky Storytimes and Activities!

You still have a couple of weeks until Halloween, but we thought we would go ahead a share a list of things happening at the local libraries. Some require registration, so make sure to double check before heading out the door. There are so many great ways to enjoy this Holiday in a safe environment. Happy Haunting!

Homewood Public Library – Thursday, October 29th. 6pm. Pumpkin carving and spooky tales. Buy a pumpkin for $4 and use the library tools or bring your own. While you work, enjoy Halloween Tales and refreshments. Pumpkins will be judged and the winning pumpkins will be displayed on the website. Registration begins October 19th. Call 205-332-6600

Emmett O Neal, Mountain Brook – Tuesday October 27th, Pumpkin Tales, all ages and a care giver. 9:30a and 10:30a.
Wednesday, October 28th, Costume Parade! 9:30a and 10:30a am, 12 – 24 months. Must register. 205-879-0459
Saturday October 31st – Trick or Treat at the library from 9:00am to 5:00pm

Hoover Public Library – Turn a pumpkin into a work of art (NO CARVING, PLEASE) and display it at the library! Each entry will receive a prize and medal and will be entered into a grand prize drawing. Pumpkins accepted October 17-29. Drawing at 9 a.m. on October 30.

Alabaster Library – Children’s Costume Capers – Halloween treat and magician Russell Davis performing feats of wonder and comedy. Thursday October 29th, 4:15pm. Fun, Surprises and Refreshments begin in the mobile unit.

North Shelby Library – Mr Mac’s Halloween Party, Wednesday October 28th. 10:45am.
PJ Storytime, “Scary Tales” Thursday October 29th, 7:00 pm.
Stop by the Children’s department on Halloween Saturday for a special trick or treat.

Birmingham Public LibraryTeens, are invited to the 1st Annual Ghoul’s Ball! There will be music, dancing, games, food, and a costume contest. Prizes will be awarded for the Scariest, Funniest, and Best Literary Character costumes. Thursday October 29th, 7pm – 9pm. Central Library Atrium. Call to register: 205-226-3651
