Football is kicking off, the fall decorations are coming out, and pumpkin spice everything will be taking over Instagram before you know it! It’s time for some fall events, here’s everything you need to know to have some fun as we ease into fall, now all we need are the cooler temps!

Party on the Porch

A family-friendly event that’s sure to make you feel right at home. This event will benefit The Junior League of Birmingham, and the women and children of Birmingham. enjoy tasty bites from Eugene’s Hot Chicken and cool off with Repicci’s Italian Ice and Ghost Train Brewing Co. Sing along and enjoy the tunes from a local favorite, the Dellow Yandies! Be sure to say hi to our friends at The North Face, Cablz, Rustic Mountain Overlanding, Turkey Creek Nature Preserve, and have fun with Trailer Park Photos!

When: Friday, September 9, 6pm – 8pm

Birmingham ArtWalk

Artwalk is a two-day arts festival that transforms Birmingham’s downtown neighborhood into an arts district, featuring the work of more than 50+ visual artists, live musicians, street performers, food and drink vendors, and children’s activities.

When: Friday September 9th 5pm – 10pm and September 10th 10am – 6pm

Where: Downtown Birmingham along 20th street

Trussville City Fest

Trussville City Fest is a FREE, fun, family event in historic downtown Trussville!  Activities will be located at Veteran’s Park, all along Main Street and at the new Trussville Entertainment District. This year’s presenting sponsor is Trussville Gas & Water.

When: Saturday, September 10th, 9am – 10pm

Dog Fest

Gather your friends, family and dogs for a day of fun!

The human-canine bond is truly unique. On our happiest and hardest of days, our dogs love us endlessly. They are our everyday heroes in so many ways. Whether as assistance dogs, working dogs or pet dogs, there are countless tales of man’s best friend doing amazing things. Join the fun at your local DogFest or participate virtually as we celebrate the joy dogs bring to our lives.

Tinglewood Festival

Alabama’s premier, all-woodworking art festival will celebrate “Shavings, Smoke, and Sound”

Enjoy a uniquely Montevallo event with live chainsaw wood carving, woodworking artist vendors, Tim Tingle’s Whittling Contest, and a wooden boat race. Festival-goers will find everything from knives, wooden bowls, vases, jewelry, and toys, to handcrafted furniture, bird houses, ornaments, and more! There will also be a classic car show—the 20th Annual Cars by the Creek—a variety of children’s activities, axe throwing, and food vendors on site.
Tinglewood Festival is inspired by a special section of Orr Park, where local artist Tim Tingle has carved faces and creatures into the dead parts of living cedar trees since a fateful ice storm in 1993.

Alabama State Fair

Exciting Attractions & Shows. Live Music. All Your Favorite Fair Food. Spectacular Carnival Rides & Kiddie Rides.

Fido Fest

An afternoon that celebrates and benefits our four-legged friends! This free event will have arts, entertainment, giveaways and more. All proceeds benefiting Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
All animal lovers and leashed pets are welcome!
When: Saturday, September 17th 11am – 3pm
Where: REI Parking lot at the Summit

St George Middle Eastern Food Festival

Experience a wide variety of Middle Eastern food including baked Kibbee, Hummus, Baklava, Greek chicken, and more! Live Entertainment presented on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening; Shopping with a wide variety of vendors including handmade crafts, Byzantine icons, olive wood artifacts from the Holy Land, and a church cookbook, “Our Favorite Recipes.”
When: September 22nd – September 24th
Where: St George Greek Catholic Church

Fiesta Birmingham

Music, dance, performing arts, visual arts, children’s activities, cultural education, authentic Latin food as well as community and health-related resources are all part of the event. This year, Fiesta is bringing back a favorite component, Lucha Libre, which will feature the Blue Demon from Mexico, Iguana hailing from Guatemala, and other famous Mexican professional wrestling acts.

When: Saturday, September 24th 12pm – 8pm
