This event is a personal favorite for BirminghamMommy.com, we’ve participated several years now and always have such a great time getting our outfits together and decorating our bikes for the ride. If you have a big group of witchy friends, this event is for you!
So, what IS the witches ride?
The Homewood Witches Ride is an annual event benefiting the American Cancer Society. This event was founded to celebrate the beautiful spirit of Paula Stringfellow Ford. Now, it’s a time to celebrate all those touched by cancer – angels, fighters and survivors!
This is a fun, family activity that brings the whole community together for a good cause. Women dress up as witches and enjoy a light-hearted, 2-mile bike ride through the heart of Homewood while throwing candy to kids along the route.
This year the event will follow the end of the Homewood Parks Fall Festival at Homewood Park on Sunday, October 27th at 5pm
To register, visit the HWR Website, then gather your friends and start planning your theme, they have fun prizes for the best costumes, groups etc…
