Holiday Nibbles

The holidays are that time of year when appetizers become a staple. We all go to different houses and want to bring something. How about a special holiday series that highlights some yummy nibbles? This year, you can wow everyone with your mad cooking skills.

And if you’re like me, you love getting to try new ones that other people have made. My typical go to’s are sausage balls, layer dips, or bacon wrapped water chestnuts.

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

1 can water chestnuts (Drained)
1/4 c chili sauce (ketchup with worcestershire would sub easily)
1/4 c brown sugar
6 slices of bacon, halved

Wrap the bacon around the whole water chestnut, secure with a toothpick.
Mix the chili sauce and brown sugar and pour it over the bacon/chestnuts.
Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes.

Eat. Enjoy!
