The holidays shouldn’t be stressful, but it is for a lot of people. What to buy… the cost of it all… meeting expectations… It can be daunting, especially when your kids come to you with a list of 20 or more toys they want. We want to teach our kids to be grateful, yet we want them happy.
Here’s a fun idea to satisfy them and keep them from becoming spoiled. Gift to your kids in the Want, Need, Wear, Read style. Each child gets one item that they really want, a frivilous toy. Then they get one item they need- maybe a new lunchbox. Next is something they can wear- pj’s, clothes, shoes. And last is something they can read.
If you go by this system, it will help them to cut down on what they ask for. It will also make things even easier for you when shopping!
