- Alabama Wildlife Center Baby Bird Shower at Oak Mountain
You’re invited! How tweet it is; we’re expecting! Approximately 1,000 baby birds will arrive at the Alabama Wildlife Center this year. Come join in the fun and help AWC prepare for baby bird season. Meet live raptors, enjoy cake & refreshments, baby bird videos, fun children’s activities, tour bird nursery & aviaries, and bring a gift for the babies. - Working Dog Day at McWane
Come meet and celebrate local working dogs; see our newest IMAX film, ‘Superpower Dogs’, which showcases the accomplishments of dogs with jobs.

- Homestead Hollow Arts and Crafts Festival
Unique – one of a kind – hand made, hand decorated arts and crafts. We have added antique/vintage goods to our festivals. Talk to our pioneer demonstrators of the old time days- see wood carving, blacksmithing, soap making, wood stove cooking, quilting, and whiskey making at our original working still, tour our original cabins as they were built by the early settlers. Visit the apiarist and learn about bee keeping. Relax by one of our many streams and listen to live local entertainment all day. Enjoy great food from our food court, bbq, funnel cakes, fried pies, ice cream, beans, greens, footlong corn dogs and so much more! Children’s activities: wagon rides, bunjy jump, moonwalk, face painting Homestead Hollow’s General store is open for you to visit and shop for those home-made fried pies and other great items all day during show dates.

- The Rock and Roll Playhouse presents music by The Beatles at Saturn
The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with children age ten and under games, movement, stories and an opportunity to rock out in an effort to educate children and explore their creativity. As such, The Rock and Roll Playhouse is an early and often first introduction to a child’s lifelong journey with live music and rock and roll. Come play!
