Join us as we offer families the opportunity to pitch a tent and enjoy a night under the stars on Birmingham’s front lawn—Railroad Park! This urban camping experience offers children and their families the chance to encounter nature through an interactive, educational setting. You’ll get to: get up close and personal with zoo animals, gain essential tips and tricks for safe camping, enjoy a delicious dinner, learn the ins and outs of paddling for your own water adventures, and as the city lights go down, you’ll savor yummy treats and snacks while spotting Jupiter. Bring your tent and your family and we’ll take care of the rest! Come make lasting memories and gain insight for future camping and outdoor experiences.

Registration fees include complimentary dinner, breakfast, and snacks galore for each attendee, catered by Publix.

The library welcomes lovers of comics, cosplay, gaming and more as we bring you our biggest Fest yet! More guest authors, more breakout rooms, more artisan workshops and more chances to win great prizes. From Star Trek to Stephen King, from Game of Thrones to Doctor Who, we have dozens of panels for you to participate in.   • Zoo Fun Days at the Birmingham Zoo

Visit the Zoo during Zoo Fun Days to take advantage of discounted admission – $5 off all admission tickets! Guests will have the opportunity to get up-close with the elephants in Trails of Africa, experience Predator Zone, enjoy a Red Diamond Sea Lion Show and be surrounded by and feed* beautiful lorikeets in the Schaeffer Eye Center Lorikeet Aviary. Come learn how the Zoo uses enrichment activities to help keep the animals mentally and physically fit.
