Last week we mentioned the first of two sessions of a Parenting Conference being hosted by St. Vincent’s Health Systems
The second session to this amazing Parenting Conference is Raising Boys and Girls and will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. This discussion focuses on deepening parents’ understanding of the hearts, minds and spirits of both boys and girls. Because this seminar will be broken down into specific ages – kids (covering birth-elementary) and teens (covering adolescence) – parents will be able to gain effective strategies for all child rearing stages.
“There is no doubt about it – parenting is a tough job,” said Madonna Nichols, Administrative Director of Women’s Service, “St. Vincent’s is offering this class free to the community because we want as many Birmingham area moms and dads as possible to have the chance to be encouraged, plus glean tips, strategies and confidence to parent intentionally, and parent well.”
Make sure to register for both parts of this conference. You can get more information on the first session, Intentional Parenting by visiting our post here.
The conference is FREE to attend and Parents can register by contacting Dial-A-Nurse at 205.939.7878.
