Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that I’m having a Discovery Toys “toy” raiser for the children who have lost everything in the storms this week. This is a easy way to help. If you would like to donate, e-mail me at pweems1@windstream.net and if you write a check for the donation, make the check out to Discovery Toys/Patricia Weems and it will be tax deductible. Please include this in your next update to help spread the word.
Thanks! And thanks for all you are doing!
I want to hand out hot breakfast to tornado victims and volunteers. Do you know who I should contact or where I should go to do this?
I live in Amarillo,Texas & have been searching for somewhere I can make a donation of clothing , toys , a gas cooking stove ,Christmas decorations , household items such as decor items , some kitchen items , much toooooooooooooooooooooo much to mention . I have an over abundance of things that are in storage and had intended to have a yard sale , but due to the devastation and loss of so much to so many in Alabama I would like to send these things to those in need …in reading I have found that all items need to be new , if there is an acceptance of used items , please let me know of where it can be sent ..Thank you & God Bless ,
Here is some info my church has sent out about helping out with food. You can contact these people or just show up to help. Thanks everyone for helping out. We were not hit because luckily the tornado cloud that went over us did not touch down here (but did in the beforehand county and next county over), but everywhere around us is heavily affected. So thanks so much, everyone around here needs it.
The Birmingham Baptist Association is in need of volunteers to help support the cooking staff as they prepare between 6 to 8 thousand meals a day for the people in the communities who have lost everything. If you are available to help you can go to the below address:
4825 Ave West
Birmingham, Al 35208-4717
The hours are 7:00a to 7:00p
Concert going on right now at Old Car Heaven (3 p.m. on May 3) until 10 p.m. benefitting the American Red Cross local tornado relief!
