Birmingham Parents have a new option for treatment when their children are sick and their pediatrician isn’t available. Having opened their Vestavia office in October, Your Kids Urgent Care has lots of options to help parents already struggling to juggle an unexpected illness/injury around already full schedules, work or closed Pediatrician offices. Offering pediatric urgent care, telemedicine, the ability to reserve your spot online so you don’t have to sit in a waiting room with a sick child, on-site x-rays, labs and prescriptions, (saving you another stop… Yes, please!) are just some of the benefits of this new office.
The physicians at Your Kid’s Urgent Care have partnered with KultureCity to create a sensory inclusive environment for pediatric patients. Guests with PTSD or a diagnosis on the autism spectrum can often experience sensitivity to over-stimulation or noise in public. Based in Birmingham, KultureCity is one of the leading nonprofit organizations serving people with sensory needs.

Events to celebrate the clinic opening include a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on November 20, 2019, at 12:00pm. Your Kid’s Urgent Care is open seven days a week, with weekday hours from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and weekend hours from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. (Including most Holidays) “We look forward to joining the local community and serving its youngest citizens,” said Derrol Dawkins, M.D. “Our office is fully staffed with pediatric specialized physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants for those times when your child cannot be seen by their regular pediatrician’s office.” Dawkins and Marquisha Jarmon, M.D., serve as the medical directors of the Vestavia Hills office.
