The Pajama Program is a wonderful organization which works hard to provide warm sleepwear and books to children in need, many of whom are waiting to be adopted. So far, in 2009, they’ve collected “91,388 new pajamas and 57, 733 books” let’s help them add to that number!

This month’s pick is all about getting snuggly as we welcome Fall with open arms – but not neck! This month’s pick is…the scarf.

Chicken Wings for Charity – eat the best chicken wings in town, hang out with good friends, and watch some football at the first Kick’n Chick’n Wing Fest! Bring your chairs and an empty stomach to enjoy a day of music, family fun, good food and good people!
The Wing fest is hosted by the Magic Moments Junior Board as an effort to raise funds and awareness for Magic Moments, Alabama’s oldest wish granting organization.

A day of moon walks, face painting and free cupcakes! Register for the Fun Run which will begin at 8:30am. Bring the kids from 9am until 2pm for a day full of festivities.

We’ve gotta say, Chick-Fil-A (Chick-a-flay, Chicky way…whatever your kids call it) is already a favorite fast food restaurant for us. The restaurants are generally clean, the service is usually nice and the food is pretty good – not to mention that it’s served pretty quick. So, the fine folks at Chick-Fil-A have decided…eh…let’s make it a little better!

Celebrate fall’s arrival at the Mt Laurel Harvest Festival. Live music provides a background for activities that are sure to please the whole family — kids and parents alike.
In the inflatable playground, kids can bounce off the walls, literally. Bring the whole family for a hayride around the town. After the kids get tired from jumping around, they can sit and rest while sipping fresh-squeezed lemonade or slurping a colorful snow cone.
Meanwhile, artisan craft tables overflowing with homemade pieces line Main Street and a section of Olmsted Street for parents to browse. For edible items, parents are welcome to peruse the farmer’s market or any of the delicious Mt Laurel restaurants. All of the Mt Laurel restaurants and shops are open during the festival.
There are also activities adults and kids can do together at the festival, such as hayrides and pumpkin carving. The event is free and open to the public.
