Summer Reading in Birmingham

Summer Reading is a great way to help prevent that dreaded Summer Slide. On average, students’ achievement scores decline over summer vacation by one month’s worth of school-year learning, keeping them reading can help keep them on track and luckily, our local libraries have a lot of great programs designed to keep your kiddos excited about reading!

This summer, the theme is A Universe of Stories, here’s where to find the kick off parties and get your kiddos registered! Make sure to follow our full events calendar for a complete list of weekly events and story times!
