Tips for Making the Most of Your Market Visit

Arrive early for the best selection, especially at popular markets like Pepper Place. Bring cash since some vendors do not accept cards. Pack reusable bags because you will always buy more than you planned. And if you can, talk to the farmers! Ask what is in season, how they grew it, and what they recommend. That is the best part of shopping local.

One thing that has made our market especially unique is the welcoming community atmosphere. We’ve had incredible support from local families, small businesses, and vendors, and several vendors have already sold out during our first few weekends. It has quickly become one of the highlights of the week for many in our community.

We also have a large End of Summer Celebration planned for August 1 featuring bounce houses, activities, vendors, and live music with the Discover Shelby Stage.
