Join us in the Avondale Park Rose Garden for the annual community Easter egg hunt and cookout. The fun kicks off at 12:30, Sunday April 9th.

The rose garden is on 40th Street, behind Avondale library.

Birmingham Zoo

Hop on over to Birmingham’s biggest Easter Egg Hunt – Eggstravaganza at the Birmingham Zoo! Join the Easter Bunny and his friends during this rain or shine event that is sure to be fun for the whole family. The children’s egg hunts are free for members and included in admission for non-members. Children can collect 10 eggs and receive a pair of bunny ears*!

*All eggs are empty. For children’s hunts, collect 10 eggs and turn them in at the redemption station for your prizes. For adult hunt, select one egg with a number to find out your prize (valued at $50 or more!)

Breakfast with the Bunny

The Easter Bunny is coming to the Birmingham Zoo for breakfast at 7:30am and 9am on Saturday, March 31! Enjoy a scrumptious scrambled egg and sausage breakfast with orange juice and coffee at the Kudzoo Café followed by a visit from the Easter Bunny! All children receive a special treat upon arrival and can enjoy making a craft. Event price covers Zoo admission for the day, Unlimited Ride Wristband, breakfast, activities and a visit with the Easter Bunny. Following breakfast be sure to join us for the Eggstravaganza Hunt!

Railroad Park, Hosted by Highlands UMC
Saturday, March 24th,  Easter Egg Hunt and fun together with the Highlands United Methodist family and larger Birmingham community.  Games and activities will begin at 9:30 a.m.  Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 10!

The Great McWane Egg Drop at McWane Science Center
Come check out these egg demonstrations; we promise they are all their cracked up to be. Use your creativity to create a contraption to protect an egg from a 45-foot drop! Then, put your contraption to the test during the egg drop from the roof down to The Plaza.

Cottontail Express – Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum
Hop aboard the Cottontail Express for a ride to Peter Cottontail’s meadow! Join in the fun at the meadow as we hunt for Easter eggs. A bounce house, temporary tattoos, coloring station, and a sandbox provide lots of family fun.  Bring your camera to take photos with Peter Cottontail!

Upgrade to a caboose ticket or locomotive ticket for a memorable experience and get an up close look at railroad operations!

The Cottontail Express train ride takes approximately 1 ½  hours including train ride and meadow activities. Please arrive 1 hour prior to your departure time to pick up your tickets at the Calera Depot, use the restrooms at the Gift Shop, and to get in line at your boarding location.

Make sure to visit the exhibits in our Depot Museum, our collection of railroad equipment in Clark Yard, our working Signal Garden, and our Gift Shop!

Helena Hollow (formerly Griffin Farms)
The Bunny Hop at Helena Hollow Egg Hunt and Spring Celebration will take place March 24-25 and plenty of fun will be available for the whole family. Admission to the event will cost $8 and includes a hayride to the egg hunt and prizes, a visit from the Easter bunny and pictures, silo playhouses, petting zoo access, tire mountain, rope climbs and tire swings, a bounce house, truck slides and landslides. Adults that attend the event will be able to enjoy more than 40 craft vendors and food truck dining. Live music and kiddie karaoke will also take place at the Bunny Hop event.

The Homewood Easter Egg Hunt is for toddlers up to ten years of age. Children will hunt for eggs with children of their own age group. There is also a section for children with special needs.

Bluff Park Community Egg Hunt
Calling all kids 4th grade and under. Bluff Park UMC is hosting our annual Community Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast on April 8th.

Breakfast and registration for the egg hunt begin at 9:00 am and registration closes promptly at 9:45 am. The egg hunt follows at 10:00 am.

The Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures. The event takes place, rain or shine.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Market
Saturday, March 31st , 2018 from 10am – 4pm

The Easter Bunny will be hopping around for pictures at no cost! The Alabama Wildlife Center will be there with their glove trained education birds! Stop by their tent and get to know our feathered friends! Hay Rides will be available and are complimentary! They will run from 10am until 4pm. Ride as many times as you like! Bounce houses will be on site and complimentary! There will be yard games on the lawn for families to enjoy including two corn hole games, two giant checkers sets, and two giant tic tac toe boards on hand for some friendly competition!

Local craftsman, artisans, boutiques, bakeries, brand reps, and food trucks will be set-up and selling Easter and Spring themed goodies from 10am until 4pm! Swing by and pick out the perfect Easter basket items for the kiddos!

Join us for breakfast or lunch! Food vendors and Food trucks will be serving tasty treats! We will have a food court set up for you to enjoy a meal with your family and friends!

Grab your Easter basket and hop on over to the library for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! Babies through 3-year-olds will hunt eggs in the Meeting Room beginning at 9:30. Kids 4 and up will hunt eggs in the Children’s Department beginning at 10:00. No Registration is required.

Trussville
