Going for cheap (but fun!)
How about an early dinner at Cantina then head on out to the drive-in! Oh yeah!

In case you have gone all summer not knowing that you could see some of your favorite Disney classics on the big screen, we are here to tell you that not only can you see one of these gems that is tightly locked away in the Disney vault for the next how many ever years, but you can do it at the beautiful Alabama Theater.

Several Saturdays a month, throughout the summer the Historic Alabama Theater hosts a Children’s Matinee. 2pm, admission is $7 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Tickets go on sale 1 hour before showtime.

The summer may be almost over, but you still have a chance to catch a few of these movies, what a great way to spend a hot afternoon in the south. Start this Saturday with the Little Mermaid!

Looking for something to do this weekend in the great outdoors? How long has it been since you checked out Oak Mountain State Park?

This weekend not only will you be able to take advantage of some of the great things the park has to offer daily like hiking, horseback riding and the petting zoo but you will also be able to participate in a Nature Scavenger Hunt with the parks Naturalist. 10am, admission for the event is $3.00.

If the Dads (or Moms) are into fishing, then put the kiddos to bed and head on over for some night fishing. 9pm – 1am. Bring your boat or fish from the bank. Enter at the the back gate near the lakes. No rentals, but bait and snacks will be available for purchase.

The fine print:
Must have a valid Alabama fishing license.
All boats must have proper lighting on Stern and Bow

European-style street market with tents, sidewalk sales, food, beverages and more. FREE admission. What a great way to spend a leisurely say with the family.
