SUMMARY:10th Annual Head Over Teal 5K/10K Family Fall Festival
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a family fun day at The Preserve in Hoover\, AL on Saturday\, September 21st\, as the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation hosts its 10th Annual Head Over Teal Race Day & Fall Festival.  Online registration is available by visiting www.ThinkOfLaura.org/HeadOverTeal and following the links. Discounted prices are available for all who register before September 19\, 2019. Participants and supporters can set up a team or individual fundraising page or donate through the LCBF web site. \nThe 10k and 5k race courses are people and pet-friendly with some hills. It is a great neighborhood for a race with scenic houses and people to cheer you on along the way.  You can walk or run your way to the finish line.  After the race\, enjoy a morning of activities for the whole family.  The Fall Festival is a free event.  You do not have to race to come and join the fun.  Family activities include food\, live music\, and children’s activities from 8:30 until 11:00 am. Children’s activities include inflatables\, art activities\, face painting\, crazy hair\, and more. Awards for both the 10k and 5k will be presented at 9:30 am. \nThe proceeds from the race benefit the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation.  This annual event helps us provide GYN cancer programs to women\, patients\, and caregivers throughout the year. LCBF focuses on early detection research\, awareness education\, and support services for GYN cancer patients and families.  Since our founding in 2009\, we have granted more than $500\,000 for ovarian cancer early detection research\, educated tens of thousands of community members on GYN cancer prevention info\, signs and symptoms\, and provided emotional\, educational\, and direct financial support to thousands of GYN cancer patients and their loved ones.
