DESCRIPTION:Learn about our feathered fall favorites! Owls! \nFirst\, spend some time at the Alabama Wildlife Center learning about what makes owls so unique! Their amazing staff will help you learn to identify owl calls\, potential owl habitats\, and review some of the neat characteristics that owls have that make them some or our favorite feathered friends! Next\, meet one of the AWC’s resident owls! Can you guess WWHHOOOO it will be? Then you will head off into the woods on a guided hike to see if you can locate and identify some of our feathered friends in their natural habitat! The hike will be after dark\, so be sure to bring a headlamp or flashlight!\nAs this event includes a hike\, this event is NOT stroller frendly. No dogs will be allowed. \nThis event is limited to 50 participants\, so sign up today! To reserve your spot\, call our Event Coordinator at #205.620.2536. Spaces will go quickly\, so don’t wait! \nThere is no charge for the event\, but each participant will have to pay their park entry fee (Cash only at gate)! Donations to the Alabama Wildlife Center are not required\, but are appreciated! Each donation goes directly toward their continued efforts to rescue and rehabilitate orphaned and injured Alabama birds\, along with continuing their ability to provide educational programming like this! (Additional parking can be found on the side of Terrace Dr. from the field down to the beach parking lot.) \nSaturday October 14\, 9-2 \nRegular Park Entry Fees Taken at Gate. CASH ONLY at gate!\nAges 3 and Under- FREE\nAge 4-11 are $2 each\nAge 12-61 $5 each\nAge 62 and Up- $2 each \nEntrance Fees are Valid for the entire day! So come out and play\, shop\, learn\, and then enjoy the park for the remainder of the day!
