DESCRIPTION:ICAN of Birmingham is offering a second date for our instructional VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) course for parents\, grandparents\, support people\, doulas and birth professionals! Using evidence-based resources as our guide\, this class will: \n– Present a general overview of both the risks and benefits of VBAC\n– Answer commonly asked questions about VBAC\n– Address factors that may influence the success of a trial of labor after a cesarean (TOLAC)\n– Provide you with further resources to assist you/your clients in making informed decisions about birthing after a previous cesarean \nThis class is free and open to the public. However\, because of the nature of this particular course\, we do ask that you leave children at home for this event. Registration is required to attend. The meeting will take place at East59 Vintage and Cafe in the East Lake neighborhood of Birmingham.
