This FREE family event will feature outdoor fun and activities\, food\, music\, GBHS pet adoption drive\, an epic hot dog eating contest between our local first responders and much more….you won’t want to miss it! \nJoin us from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday\, August 26th. SUMMARY:Camp Firecracker ADHD Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, Camp Firecracker is launching a brand new summer program for youth with ADHD. Like many programs offered by Camp Fire Alabama\, Camp Firecracker was developed when a parent and teacher approached us seeking help for a group of children with a special need: an affordable\, traditional resident camp session uniquely designed for children with a primary diagnosis of ADHD. Camp Fire staff have worked closely with parents\, school counselors\, teachers\, principals\, and college professors to design a week-long schedule of activities that will insure a measurable and meaningful experience for these unique campers and their parents. We are excited to offer this BRAND NEW program for Summer Camp 2017. The program will be offered at Camp Fletcher (in McCalla\, AL) which is owned and operated by Camp Fire Alabama. \nWho is Eligible?  Registration is open to campers who meet the following criteria:\n· Youth entering grades 6th-9th AND who will be between the ages of 11-13\nby May 31\, 2017.\n· Youth with a primary diagnosis of ADHD \nSpaces are limited and registration will be on a first come first served basis until sessions are full\, with an option to be placed on a wait list.
