Will you be their Valentine?
Anything we can do to help put a smile on a child’s face makes us smile too and this is a super easy way for all ages to get involved and help the Children at Children’s of Alabama have a special Valentines Day!
Check out which local libraries are participating in Valentines for Children’s this year and let your kiddos get busy making some cards!
Emmet O’ Neal Library
Stop by anytime during operating hours and craft a card for a child at Children’s of Alabama
February 3rd – 8th
Homewood Public Library
Stop by the Children’s Department and make a card or bring one from home.
The following items are not allowed: food, candy, balloons, religious messages, rubber bands, tiny objects.
February 1st – 8th
Hoover Public Library
Bring in a signed valentine (no candy) for a patient and receive a special treat.
February 1st – 7th
Pinson Public Library
Valentine card-making supplies will be set up in the library so you and your family can make cards.
January 29th – February 6th
Southside Branch Public Library
Teen Time Valentine
Using decorative papers, stickers, and markers, teens will make get-well valentines for the Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
Free but registration is required and limited to 25 participants.
Registration starts February 1 at 9:00 a.m. and ends February 6 at 5:00 p.m. Register online or call the library branch.
Will you be doing the Valentine’s Day car drive for kids at the hospital this year. Please let me know. Thank you

Unfortunately, not this year. There are some new guidelines at Children’s that won’t allow us to do that. If something change for next year, we’ll definitely be on top of it! Thanks for checking with us, we’re sad to not be doing that this year.
