Socially Distanced Trick or Treat Options in Birmingham

If traditional trick or treating makes you a little nervous this year, or if you’re just looking for some extra Halloween fun, check out these local spots for some socially distanced treats!

Asbury United Methodist Church
Sunday, October 25th
4pm – 6pm

Join Asbury United for a drive-through style Halloween Parade on Sunday, Oct. 25 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with trunks, candy, and a free hot dog meal (while supplies last)! Unlike our previous Trunk-or-Treat events, they’re asking you to stay in your car this year to help keep you and your family healthy. They’ll bring candy, meals and Halloween fun to your window (with gloved hands and masked faces!)

Bluff Park United
Wednesday, October 28th
6pm – 7pm

Community Halloween Drive Thru this year on Wednesday, October 28th from 6:00-7:00pm in the Bluff Park UMC parking lot! Bluff Park families are invited to drive through our church’s parking lot, which will be filled with Halloween decorations, cars decorated for Halloween/Fall, music, lights, members of our church in costume and waving signs.

At the end of the drive thru, each child in each car will receive a bag of candy! We encourage children to ride through in their costumes so they can show them off and wave to our members along the route!

Clearbranch UMC Trunk or Treat
Wednesday October 28th
5:30pm – 8pm

Join us on Wednesday, October 28 from 5:30pm-8:30pm for one of our favorite events of the year – Covid-style! All candy will be given out by masked and gloved volunteers, and trunks will be spaced out to allow for social distancing between families. We’ll still have hotdogs, all pre-cooked and pre-packaged and handed out safely! Enjoy live music while you have a complimentary photo made, and enjoy the Fall evening with your family. Make sure to bring masks for any times that you can’t be socially distant. Save time the night of the event by registering your family or group in advance by clicking here.

A festive Trunk-or-Treat with candy, games, and more! Sport your favorite costumes and fill your bags with yummy, COVID-safe treats! Socially distance and individually packaged items.

John Carroll Trick or Treat Car Parade
Saturday, October 31st
11am – 1pm

First ever car parade. Dress up, decorate your car (optional) drive thru their campus and trick or treat.

Mount Olive MBC Youth Ministries Trunk or Treat
Saturday, October 31st
4pm

Join Mt. Olive and the Youth Ministry for Trunk or Treat 2020!!!! Social distanced fellowship, fun, and treats!!!  ***NO SCARY COSTUMES! ***FACE MASK REQUIRED!

Mt Laurel Library Trick or Treat
Saturday, October 31st
All Day

Pick up a treat at Mt Laurel Library! Goodies will be hanging on the clothesline for easy pick up. Happy Halloween! While supplies last.

North Shelby Library Trick or Treat
Saturday, October 31st
All Day

The library will be open for curbside service only, but you can pick up a treat bag from the black cabinet near the library’s entrance when you stop by. Bags will be filled with non-edible goodies. No registration. While supplies last.

Refresh Family Church Fall Fest
Saturday, October 31st
6pm – 8:30pm

We will host our event completely outside with additional guidelines to ensure safety. We will have outdoor games, Trunk-Or-Treat, outdoor bouncy houses, free food and much more!

Rocky Church Church Socially Distanced Trunk or Treat
October 25th, 5:30pm – 7pm

This year has been so crazy and we want to do something that is sort of normal! Please join us on Oct. 25th. We want everyone to be safe and to also have a great time! We invite you to come and get some treats. Visitors can park at AAA across the street or in the back lot and walk through the front lot to collect your treats.

Rocky Ridge Entertainment District Trick or Treat Drive Thru
Friday, October 30th
5pm -7pm

Dress up your little ghosts and goblins to drive thru trick or treat with the Businesses of Rocky Ridge. Employees will be social distancing with distributing candy/treats curbside.

Taylor Memorial Fall Festival Drive Thru
Saturday, October 31st
2pm – 4pm

Come drive thru our festival of booths and collect goodies along the way! We hope to see you there! Entrance will be at the top of the hill.

Valleydale Church Drive Thru Fall Fest
Wednesday, October 28th
6pm -8pm

Fall Fest at Valleydale is being revamped. We’re still so excited to host a fun Fall event for our community but now it’s going to be a Drive-Thru Fall Fest! On October 28 from 6-8 PM (note that time change as well), load up your friends and family and drive through the Valleydale parking lot to collect candy & prizes!
