Exciting Changes for Splash Adventure!

Most of you have probably heard the news that Splash Adventure Waterpark here in Birmingham is under new ownership. If you’ve been following them on social media lately then you know that they have some new things planned for the park and have been working hard on park improvements.

The Koch family has purchased the amusement and waterpark and its 89 acres, and opening day for 2014 is planned for May 17th.

Some of the new attractions planned for this season will include new rides for kids such as a Wacky Worm Coaster, Rio Grande Train, Junior Bumper Boats, Mini Helicopters, and Vintage Boats. A new Laser Maze Challenge will also be added along with games to entertain the younger family members.

This morning, Dan Koch, who led the acquisition of the park, smashed the parking booth as a way to announce that the park will no longer charge for parking! That’s right… FREE parking!! In the spirit of free, you will now have access to free sunscreen, free access to inner tubes and life jackets and free in-park wifi.

It’s shaping up to be an exciting and fresh new start for our Birmingham Water Park.

What do you think.. Will all of the new changes be enough to get you out to the park this summer?
