The event promises to be an opportunity for the community to come together for a night of free food\, drinks and family fun. \nVHPD will be launching a new community initiative in which we encourage pet owners to become part of the VHPD “Blue Crew.” The “Blue Crew” is an initiative to encourage pet owners to be vigilant while walking their best friend\, have their cell phone handy\, and report any suspicious activity immediately. We will give our partners a free “Blue Crew” leash\, membership card and a photo op.

Subsequently\, our local citizens\, social groups and non-profits present will link hands to form a human chain and together make the pledge to take a stand against domestic violence. These are FREE events and the public is welcome to join their diverse community organizations that have gathered to support and make a stand against domestic violence. \nNEW THIS YEAR…AshaKiran Youth & Art Essay Contest: Domestic violence can happen to ANY person regardless of age\, culture\, religion\, education\, social class\, sex or physical ability.
