According to ACOG and the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine: “one of the most effective tools to improve labor and delivery outcomes is the continuous presence of support personnel\, such as a doula.” Many families who have a doula present for their cesarean are also able to have a more satisfying birth experience thanks to doula support. \nJoin us for our May meeting as we kick off International Doula Month with a casual\, no-pressure meet-and-greet with our WONDERFUL community of local labor and postpartum doulas!! \nPARENTS: Get a better feel for the different personalities and philosophies of the doulas in our area. Talk pricing\, availability\, previous experience\, special needs and requests\, etc. No need to commit.
