SUMMARY:Camp Sunshine 2.0 Virtual Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:Camp Sunshine 2.0 \nWith the launch of Camp Sunshine 2.0\, girls can access a one-of-a-kind virtual camp experience from their own homes. Girls will learn real camp skills\, and meet girls from across the state and country\, all through a safe virtual platform. Girl will create a “flat camper\,” an avatar that looks just like them\, to keep at home along with a “Build-A-Camp” kit for them to cut out\, color\, and assemble a 3D camp for their flat camper. Girls will also create art in the outdoors and make fun crafts\, play games\, sing camp songs\, make friendship bracelets\, and make a camp meal. \nJust like at traditional camp\, campers will be assigned to a “cabin\,” which will allow for girls to interact with a smaller group for a more individualized experience. Assignments for each group will based off of grade and age. \nThe price for one week of Camp Sunshine 2.0 is $60 for non-members\, $25 for GSNCA members\, and $35 for Girl Scout members from other councils. The price includes a flat camper and a Build-A-Camp kit. There are several add-ons available. For $25 you can get a Camp Activity Supply Box\, which includes gimp to learn knot-tying\, “snacktivities” like a s’mores kit\, and supplies for an age-appropriate craft\, like making a puppet or a barometer. For $50 you can choose a Progressive Specialized Activity your girl is interested in\, like STEM\, art\, or primitive camping\, and receive extra programming time plus a kit with all the supplies she’ll need. \nTo register\, visit www.girlscoutsnca.org/camp.
