Tween Book Club via Zoom with Homewood Library

(rising 4th-7th Grade) This virtual book club for 4th-7th graders will feature books that focus on hot topics in the world today. August’s book is Genesis Begins Again by Alicia D. Williams. Thirteen-year-old Genesis tries again and again to lighten her black skin, thinking it is the root of her family’s troubles, before discovering reasons to love herself in this deeply sensitive and powerful debut novel.
