Avondale

Avondale United Methodist Church
Join us in the Avondale Park Rose Garden for the annual community Easter egg hunt and cookout. The fun kicks off at 12:30, Sunday April 9th.

The rose garden is on 40th Street, behind Avondale library.

All in the community are welcomed.

Birmingham

Birmingham Zoo

Hop on over to Birmingham’s biggest Easter Egg Hunt – Eggstravaganza at the Birmingham Zoo! Join the Easter Bunny and his friends during this rain or shine event that is sure to be fun for the whole family! The children’s egg hunts are free for members and included in admission for non-members. The Adult egg hunt is $20 to enter, but participants are guaranteed a prize valued at $50 or more! Adult egg hunt has limited spots.
Egg Hunt Schedule:

Saturday, April 15th

10am-10:30am – Ages 0-5
11am-11:30am – Ages 6-12
11:45am – Adult egg hunt ($20 entry fee)
12:30pm-1pm – Ages 0-5
1:30 – 2pm – Ages 6-12

*All eggs are empty. For children’s hunts, collect 10 eggs and turn them in at the redemption station for your prizes. For adult hunt, select one egg with a number to find out your prize (valued at $50 or more!)

Railroad Park, Hosted by Highlands UMC
Saturday, April 8,  Easter Egg Hunt and fun together with the Highlands United Methodist family and larger Birmingham community.  Games and activities will begin at 9:30 a.m.  Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 10!

UAB Football Dragon Egg Hunt
Join the UAB football team as it hosts Birmingham’s first Dragon Egg Hunt on the UAB Campus Green this Saturday, April 8. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the egg hunt starts at 9 a.m.

The Campus Green will be covered with 2,017 eggs, which includes 100 special golden eggs with special prizes inside. Children ages 12 and under are invited to participate in the egg hunt and all ages are welcomed to enjoy in the fun.

In addition to the egg hunt, children can have their face painted, visit with Blaze, and take photos with UAB Football players and staff. There will also be giveaways, including two UAB Football VIP packages, inflatables and more.  Event is free!

Calera

Cottontail Express – Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum
Hop aboard the Cottontail Express for a ride to Peter Cottontail’s meadow! Join in the fun at the meadow as we hunt for Easter eggs. A bounce house, temporary tattoos, coloring station, and a sandbox provide lots of family fun.  Bring your camera to take photos with Peter Cottontail!

Upgrade to a caboose ticket or locomotive ticket for a memorable experience and get an up close look at railroad operations!

The Cottontail Express train ride takes approximately 1 ½  hours including train ride and meadow activities. Please arrive 1 hour prior to your departure time to pick up your tickets at the Calera Depot, use the restrooms at the Gift Shop, and to get in line at your boarding location.

Make sure to visit the exhibits in our Depot Museum, our collection of railroad equipment in Clark Yard, our working Signal Garden, and our Gift Shop!

Emmet O’ Neal Library Lawn
Bring your friends and family to hunt for Easter eggs! The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and sit for pictures after the hunt. This event will be April 15 starting at 10 AM on the lawn across from Emmet ONeal Library. You do not want to miss out on the fun!

The Homewood Easter Egg Hunt is for toddlers up to ten years of age. Children will hunt for eggs with children of their own age group. There is also a section for children with special needs.

Kulture City Eggstrvaganza at Homewood Library
Kulture City is excited to host our 2017 Eggstravaganza with the Homewood Public LIbrary. Come out and enjoy an indoor sensory friendly egg hunt with Kulture City! Sensory activities, games, and goodies will be available! Enjoy family fun in a safe and sensory friendly atmosphere for your children. Bluff Park Community Egg Hunt
Calling all kids 4th grade and under. Bluff Park UMC is hosting our annual Community Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast on April 8th.

Breakfast and registration for the egg hunt begin at 9:00 am and registration closes promptly at 9:45 am. The egg hunt follows at 10:00 am.

The Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures. The event takes place, rain or shine.

Grab your Easter basket and hop on over to the library for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! Babies through 3-yeard-old will hunt eggs in the Meeting Room beginning at 9:30. Kids 4 and up will hunt eggs in the Children’s Department beginning at 10:00. No Registration is required.
